GREAT OUTDOORS
It was 1898, when the Hotel Connor became a part of Jerome, AZ. In fact, David Connor, who built the hotel, never thought that before the turn of the century, his gem, with bricks fired in nearby Cottonwood, would burn to the ground… twice.
With a whopping $14,500 in his hand from an insurance claim (only 2 businesses in Jerome had insurance) Connor rebuilt. By 1899 the booming mining town of Jerome had the Connor Hotel back.
As you can see, there’s motorcycles parked right out front. They may be here for lodging, but most of them are here for refreshments, food, and conversations. On the main level, sits The Spirit Room, well known to be a destination and stop-over for cruzers. Live music is performed Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Today the Hotel Connor has mini-fridges, satellite TV, and private tiled baths for each guest who is looking for the highest standards of comfort from this historic hotel.
