Our Mission is to deliver healing pet therapy to at-risk children, nurturing their emotional development and enhancing the quality of their lives forever.

PHOENIX/TUCSON

Through the love of a Therapy Dog, children can discern tolerance, gain confidence and learn how to properly treat other living things. When at a visit, children have the opportunity to interact with a Therapy Dog team by listening to their heart, feeding them treats and brushing their teeth. They quickly begin to show signs of happiness; they’ll began to feel a sense of responsibility and what it’s like to feel needed and loved by someone. Once children learn empathy, compassion, and trust they are less likely to repeat the cycle of violence of which they were once victims. This positive reaction to the unconditional love of a pet has proven to be very powerful and effective and is the very foundation of Gabriel’s Angels. If you are interested in learning more about Gabriel’s Angels, the phone number is 602-266-0875 or click on the link to their website.

Diamondback (Rattlesnake) Bridge is a unique structure near downtown Tucson located on Broadway Avenue, just West of Euclid that has a mean bite. The pedestrian bridge spans the six-lanes of Broadway. It’s red eyes light up and its tail rattles when you exit through its rear. It is lighted inside at night. It measures 11 feet high and is 14 feet wide. It has a 28 foot tall head with bulletproof-polymer eyes that glow red in the night. The plan is to make this bridge part of a bike trail with more bridges!

Sabino Canyon Recreation Area

In the foothills of Arizona’s southern Catalina Mountains 12 miles from downtown Tucson, Catalina Canyon is one of the most scenic spectacles in Arizona. A paved road runs 3.8 miles into the canyon, crossing 9 stone bridges over Sabino Creek.

It begins at an altitude of 2,800 feet and rises to 3,300 feet at its end, popular in summer because of the swimming holes at Hutch’s Pool and The Crack.

Winding through the canyon, visitors who follow the road have views of the creek, the riparian vegetation, magnificent Saguaros on the canyon walls, and towering rock formations. Picnic areas are scattered along the road, as are trailheads leading to other sections of the National Forest or paralleling the road.

Visitors travel the canyon by foot or horseback. Bicycles are allowed before 9am or after 5pm any day except Wednesdays and Saturdays .

The only motorized vehicles on the 3.8-mile paved road that leads through the canyon are the Sabino Canyon/Bear Canyon shuttles and Park Service vehicles. Ramadas at the entrance give canyon visitors a place to sit and watch the wildlife while waiting for the shuttle.
