A great first stop upon arriving in Lake Havasu is the official visitors center at the London Bridge. The visitors center can be found in the English Village, on London Bridge Road and Highway 95. There you will find a wonderful, friendly and knowledgable staff to assist you while you are in Lake Havasu City. They have a wealth of information at their disposal including, maps, brochures, etc. The hours of operation are Monday-Saturday from 8:30am-4:00pm.

Make sure to check out the London Bridge and the English Village under the Bridge. It was the founder’s dream and vision to have the Bridge in Havasu to create the “ultimate” tourist spot. The English Village has a lot of little shops selling souvineirs, ice cream, and food. There is also a boat you can catch over the Havasu Landing, the Indian Casino just across the lake. Tickets are $6 for the round trip ticket.

LONDON BRIDGE

Lake Havasu City is a city in Mohave County. It is served by Lake Havasu City Airport. Lake Havasu City is geographically isolated from the other cities in Mohave County.

The only access to Lake Havasu City by road is via Arizona State Route 95, which meets Interstate 40 to the north of the city and Interstate 10 to the south. C.V. Wood, who designed Disneyland, laid out Lake Havasu’s unique road system.
The community first started as an Army Air Corps rest camp during World War II.
A tourist attraction in Lake Havasu City is the London Bridge, which crosses a 930 foot long man-made canal that leads from Lake Havasu (on the Colorado River) to Thompson Bay. It was bought for US $2.5 million from the City of London when the bridge was replaced in 1968. The bridge was disassembled, and the marked stones were shipped to Lake Havasu City and reassembled for another US $7 million. It opened in October 1971.
The London Bridge is the second most visited tourist attraction in Arizona, behind only the Grand Canyon.
March to September are the prime months for boaters on Lake Havasu. The city is home to the International World Jet Ski Final Races, professional fishing tournaments, custom boat regattas, the Western Winter Blast pyrotechnics convention, Havasu 95 Speedway, the Havasu Triathlon, the Havasu Half Marathon, and the Havasu Island Hot Air Balloon Fest & Fair.
During the winter months, the community is joined by retirees from colder regions of the country and Canada. During this period, multiple events are held on McCulloch Boulevard

The scenic shoreline of Lake Havasu State Park
is a great place to enjoy beautiful beaches, nature trails, boat ramps, and campsites. It is a watersport haven located near the famous London Bridge of Lake Havasu City. The park offers 3 boat ramps, 47 campsites, a special events area (not available on holiday weekends), picnic area, and beach area. The Mohave Sunset Trail (1.75 miles) winds its way through the lowland desert and along the shoreline. The Arroyo-Camino Interpretive Garden showcases the diverse life that exists within the park and this area of the desert. Birds, lizards, and desert cottontails are common sights.
